5. Make checks payable to MYSA and turn in at the registration night or mail to the address listed on the form.
How much do I pay?
BASEBALL
If your child is in 1st or 2nd grade, he will be playing on a Blue River League Wee Pee Coach Pitch team for 8 & Under boys. The cost to play on this team will be $55 for non-lifetime members ($10 discount for lifetime members). Lifetime membership are no longer offered.
NOTE: some 2nd grade boys may play up on a player pitch team - if they intend to play up they should pay the player pitch ($70) rate as that rate includes umpire fees. A player can play both coach pitch and player pitch and pay only the one $70 rate.
If your child is in 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade, he will be playing on a Blue River League Player Pitch team for either 10 & Under or 12 & Under boys. The cost to play on this team will be $70 for non-lifetime members ($10 discount for lifetime members). Lifetime membership are no longer offered.
If your child is in 7th or 8th grade, he will be playing on our I-80 League Pony team for 14 & under boys. The MYSA registration fee for Pony is $25. The pony uniform is around $100. Players that played last year may use the same uniform again. Also, if the team elects NOT to have a parent coach there may be an additional expense for the coach. The past two seasons the Pony team has had a non-parent coach and his mileage expenses were covered by the team. It is possible the team will do some fundraisers to help offset the cost the uniform and coach. $25 will be due at registration.
SOFTBALL
If your child is in 1st or 2nd grade, she will most likely be playing in Lancaster Youth Sports Association (LYSA) 8 & under coach-pitch league. The player fee for this league is $60. At registration you will need to pay the league fee + the $10 MYSA registration. Paying the MYSA fee allows the team to use the Malcolm ball field for practices.
If your child is in 3rd or 4th grade, there may be a couple of options for her. Many of the 3rd grade girls are working together to form a competitive level team that will play 10 & under softball in the LYSA league. Many of the 4th grade girls are working to form a YMCA Spirit level team. Depending on the numbers of interested girls at sign up there may be a third option for 3rd and 4th grade (10 & under) girls. The cost to play on these teams will be determined by league fees, tournament fees, and uniform expenses. A $10 MYSA registration fee will be due at registration which will allow these teams to use the Malcolm ball field. If a girl ends up having to play on a team in another community that fee will be refunded.
If your child is 5th or 6th grade, the options are limited only by the number that choose to sign up. We have traditionally had a low interest level out of these classes. If there are enough girls to form a team of Malcolm (or mostly Malcolm) girls MYSA will sponsor the team through YMCA or another league that would accept the team. If we have a just a few sign-up we'll will assist these girls by trying to find a team for them to play on whether it be in Lincoln or another nearby community. A $10 MYSA registration fee will be due at registration. If the girls end up on a team in another community that fee will be refunded.
